This is my 18th year in education. I attended Trinity International University where I graduated with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in English. My first teaching position was at Woodland Primary West in Gages Lake, Illinois, where I taught kindergarten for two years. This is my 16th year at Oostburg Elementary School. For six years I taught first grade, and am currently enjoying my tenth year as a kindergarten teacher at OES. It has been exciting to have the opportunity to see the amazing growth students make in kindergarten! I thoroughly am enjoying it!

On a personal note, I have been married thirteen years to my husband Andy and we have a 10 year old daughter named Kaiya and a 7 year old daughter named Kalli. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, running, and playing volleyball.

I was born and raised in Sheboygan.  I went to Sheboygan North High School and graduated from UW-Oshkosh in 2012 with an Elementary Education Early Childhood through Middle Childhood BSE degree.  I am currently pursuing my Masters of Science in Education - Literacy through Concordia University WI.

My first teaching job was as a kindergarten teacher at Lincoln Elementary in Watertown for the 2012-2013 school year.  I am excited to be beginning my third year of teaching, making this my second year of teaching kindergarten in Oostburg!  I love to see the tremendous student growth that happens during this exciting school year! My favorite part of the school day is Readers Workshop.

In my free time I enjoy dancing, lifting weights & biking, playing the piano, traveling, and watching movies (especially Frozen!).  Pizza and chocolate are my favorite foods.  My favorite things to watch on TV are Dancing with the Stars, Person of Interest, and Packer and Badger games.  I love spending time with my parents, two sisters, brother, and my 4 adorable nephews.

I LOVE to travel and have been to 13 countries!  My favorite trip highlights include riding a camel around the Great Pyramids of Egypt, snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef & holding koalas in Australia, seeing the Crown Jewels in England, and hiking to Machu Picchu in Peru.  I can't wait to travel more!

I am excited to work with your family this school year! :)

I am from a small town in Wisconsin, much like Oostburg, called Mosinee.  I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 2001 with a major in Early Childhood Education.  This will be my thirteenth year as a teacher however I have been working with children in kindergarten for the past 19 years.  My wife Kristen and I live in Sheboygan with our little girl, Gwyneth, who just turned 2 this summer.  I enjoy working with children so much and believe in celebrating each child’s individuality.  My interests include golf, cooking, the Packers, and traveling.
